Baltimore Mural Program

The Baltimore Mural Program has produced more than 250 murals across the city, creating an outdoor public museum for the enjoyment of the people of Baltimore. Click here to learn more about how BOPA works with local mural artists to collaborate with local communities.

Transformative Art Prize

The Transformative Art Prize (TAP) awards up to $30,000 to Baltimore City artists and neighborhoods who work together to enliven underutilized public spaces through high impact, community-driven public art projects. Community groups are partner with artists and/or arts organizations to proprose and design high-impact, highly visible transformative art concept for their neighborhood. Wayfinding Art Projects

BOPA works with multiple city agencies, community stakeholders, and artists to produce unique, site specific Wayfinding Art Projects to highlight safe walking routes for pedestrians and serve as a visual guide along walking paths to important local resources. These wayfinding projects create a sense of neighborhood pride and ownership contributing to community building, traffic calming, beautification, public safety, and neighborhood pride. SoBo Summer Concert Series

The SoBo Summer Concert Series features live music concerts and special events throughout South Baltimore. Widely known and emerging Baltimore-based musicians perform various genres including blues, brass band, funk, jazz, R&B, reggae and timba. These concerts activate green spaces and community gathering locations in less visited neighborhoods in the South Baltimore including Carroll Park, Cherry Hill, Lakeland, Mt. Fee-For-Service Projects

BOPA does Fee-For-Work Projects to help clients define public art project scope, narrative, approach to community engagement, artist call, selection, contracting, payments, and provide project management of art implementation.
