Project Artscape 2024

Artscape

August 2-4th

Artscape proudly showcases a wide range of creative expressions, including artists and makers, live concerts, visual arts experiences, performing arts, fashion designers, kid-focused activities, film, experimental music, improv and comedy, literary arts programming, and culinary delights. We encourage artists and festivalgoers to embrace Artscape for what it is – a fully accessible, 100% FREE, world-class arts festival – right here in the heart of Baltimore City. Everyone’s invited to Artscape, so let’s celebrate the arts in Baltimore together!

Project Artscape

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) is thrilled to announce
the return of the wildly successful Project Artscape to this year’s 40th edition of the festival. Twelve Baltimore-based designers were selected to participate in Project Artscape Fashion Weekend, which will take place on Friday–Sunday, August 2–4, at The Garage, 6 E. Lafayette Ave. The weekend kicks off Friday evening from 5:00–9:00 p.m. Six of the designers will present on Saturday, and six will present on Sunday.

The fusion of Jazz & Fashion

Project Artscape and the Baltimore Jazz Alliance are teaming up to bring the lively energy of live jazz bands to the Project Artscape Experience.

Designers will collaborate with our live band to create the perfect soundtrack for their show.

“Lounge areas” surrounding the runway will create a jazz club-like atmosphere. The space will also showcase the history of Baltimore’s connection to iconic jazz figures and venues, delving into the fashion and style of the Jazz Era. This partnership aims to unite music and fashion enthusiasts, fostering future collaborations. It will be an immersive experience for designers, musicians, and the audience alike!

The designer application has closed.
