Throughout the year, BOPA seeks visual and literary artists, performers, musicians, food vendors, and more to participate in large-scale festivals, community celebrations, and special events.
Baltimore Screenwriters Competition Is Accepting Submissions
The Baltimore Film Office is accepting entries for the 20th annual Baltimore Screenwriters Competition, which awards prizes for scripts set or able to be filmed in Baltimore. The competition is a project of the Baltimore Film Office in conjunction with film programs at Johns Hopkins University and Morgan State University. The deadline is 11:59 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
Learn More & SubmitOpen Call: "A Media Quilt Project"
“A MEDIA QUILT PROJECT” will utilize the concept of a traditional quilt through the lens of current video technology. This will be a collectively created large-scale patchwork grid of projected videos assembled as a single unit, from themes generated by the submitting artists from Baltimore City and County. Artists may submit from two to six videos within a particular theme of their choosing. Each video clip should be 5-10 seconds long. The deadline is January 11, 2025.

The purpose of this fellowship is to provide young CREATIVES: $20K, resources, learning experiences, mentorship and networking opportunities to further develop their craft and brand. All applicants must be a current full time resident of Baltimore, City and priority will be given to creatives between the ages of 18-24. The application deadline is January 17, 2025.

The Golden Triangle Business Improvement District (“BID”) is seeking qualifications from an artist or artist team to design, fabricate, install, and de-install a two-year temporary public art installation at the prominent intersection of Connecticut Avenue and K Streets, NW. The artwork will be installed in the summer of 2026. Budgets of up to $115,000 will be considered for the project. Submissions are due no later than January 8, 2025, at 5:00 P.M.

BOPA is proud to announce that the 48th Annual Baltimore Farmers’ Market is now accepting submissions for the 2025 Market season. The Baltimore Farmers’ Market is a producer-only market. That means we require our vendors to grow, make, or create what they sell. We also prioritize local vendors in our application process to ensure we’re providing local options for our shoppers.
The Market operates on Sundays from April through December, rain or shine, from 7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. There are applications for Farms, Food Vendors, Alcohol Vendors, and Artisans. The deadline for all 2025 applications is January 12, 2025. Click below to see all applications and guidelines.

Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center invites emerging and established artists to submit original artworks to ‘Fragments: Reflections on Memory.’ This exhibition seeks to explore how individual and collective memory can shape our identity and perception, influencing our understanding of the world around us. This exhibition is open to all materials and mediums. 2-D and 3-D artwork will be considered for this exhibition. Indoor and outdoor installations will be considered. All work must be completed within the last four years. Artists must be 18 years or older. Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center takes a 40% commission on all gallery sales. This exhibition will be open to the public in the Kay Daugherty Gallery of Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center, from February 21, 2025, to April 27, 2025. The deadline to submit is January 5, 2025.
