Throughout the year, BOPA seeks visual and literary artists, performers, musicians, food vendors, and more to participate in large-scale festivals, community celebrations, and special events.
The Black Arts District Launches the Inaugural Emerging Artist Fellowship
The purpose of this fellowship is to provide young CREATIVES: $20K, resources, learning experiences, mentorship and networking opportunities to further develop their craft and brand. All applicants must be a current full time resident of Baltimore, City and priority will be given to creatives between the ages of 18-24. The application deadline is January 17, 2025.
Learn More & ApplyDeadline Extended to Create a Baker Artist Portfolio
The Baker Artist Portfolios were created to support artists and promote Greater Baltimore as a strong creative community. Artists who create a Baker Artist Portfolio are automatically eligible for one of six Baker Artist Awards, which include significant monetary prizes, an exhibition at the Baltimore Museum of Art, and a feature on Maryland Public Televisions Artworks. The deadline to create a portfolio has been extended to January 27, 2025. |

REGISTER NOWDeadline Extended for the Asia North Artist & Performer Call
The Asian Arts & Culture Center and Central Baltimore Partnership are seeking APIMEDA (Asian, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, and Desi American) performers and presenters of all kinds to submit applications for Asia North 2025. The festival celebrates the Station North neighborhood’s constantly evolving identities as a Koreatown, arts district, and creative hub. This year’s festival runs from May 2nd to 31st. The deadline for applicants has been extended to February 1, 2025.
PERFORMER APPLICATIONCall for Art for the 2025 Asia North Festival
The Asia North 2025 exhibition seeks artworks from APIMEDA (Asian, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, and Desi American) artists based in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia with themes that have a sardonically reactive spirit that usurps familial and societal pressures & expectations. The exhibition is guest curated by Taiwanese-American Baltimore-based artist Phaan Howng. The deadline is February 14, 2025.
CALL FOR ARTInviting Light Open Call for Artists & Creatives
This Open Call seeks proposals from artists of all kinds to be considered for Inviting Light’s additional community programming, which will be incorporated within the project. Accepted proposals will be staged outdoors from March–June and September–December 2025. Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis. The final date to apply for consideration is March 31, 2025.
